Privacy policy

This policy explains what information BuilderCapital collects, how we use it, and who can see it. BuilderCapital is operated by LIMITLESS Capital LLC ("we", "us"). It covers buildercapital.ai and app.buildercapital.ai (the "Service").

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, and anything you add to your profile (name, company, phone). If you set a password, it is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we can't read it.
  • Deal information you add: property and project details, budgets, values, documents you upload, cover photos, loan offers and term sheets, questions and answers, messages, and notes.
  • Activity in deal rooms: when a lender views or downloads a document, sends a message or makes a request, we record it so the borrower can see their pipeline.
  • How you joined: whether you signed up directly, through an invitation or through an offer such as the free pitch deck, and, if you arrived from a campaign link, which campaign (for example a LinkedIn post).
  • Technical information: our hosting and security providers log basic request data (such as IP address, browser type and time) to run and protect the Service.

How we use it

  • To run the Service: create your account, sign you in, store your deals and documents, and show them to the people you choose.
  • To send emails you need: sign-in codes and links, and notifications about activity on your deals (for example a new message or request).
  • To read documents with AI when you ask us to, for example sorting an upload into the right folder or reading the terms of a loan offer, so you can review them. AI results are suggestions for you to check.
  • To create materials you ask for. If you request a pitch deck (including the free pitch deck), the files you upload are used to draft and build it, and they and the deck are stored privately in your account, visible only to you and the deal team you choose.
  • To send occasional product updates, only if you ticked the box to receive them. You can turn them off at any time from your Account page or by emailing us.
  • To keep the Service secure, fix problems, and understand how it is used (for example how many accounts have been created).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your information

  • People you invite. A lender you invite sees only their own deal room: the deal details, the documents you share with them, their own messages and requests, and the answers you choose to share. Lenders never see other lenders, their rooms, or how many lenders are involved. People you add to your deal team see the deal according to the role you give them.
  • Our service providers, who process information only to run the Service for us:
    • Vercel (website hosting, United States)
    • Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, United States)
    • Postmark (email delivery)
    • Anthropic (AI reading of documents you upload, through its commercial API)
  • Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers. If BuilderCapital is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of it. We will tell you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to complete an invitation you opened. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and our notification emails don't track whether you opened them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and deal information while your account is active. Deal owners can delete documents, offers and deals at any time. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep it for legal reasons. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Documents are stored privately and opened through short-lived links. Who can see each deal, document and message is enforced in our database, not only in the website. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in email account and password safe.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile on your Account page. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account, email hello@buildercapital.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour them.

Children

The Service is for business use by adults. It isn't intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email or in the Service.
